Solana Saga 2 Launches — The Crypto Phone Second Bet

Better hardware, lower price, real seed vault. The dApp Store still does the heavy lifting.

Solana Mobile shipped Saga 2 at $499, half the original price, with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, 12GB RAM and a properly secured seed vault chip. The hardware is finally not the conversation.

The dApp Store is. Solana Mobile keeps zero fees on in-app purchases for crypto-native apps and bundles the device with $400 worth of token claims via the Saga Genesis Token. That is the actual value proposition: the device pays for itself if you flip the bundle.

Whether that is a real product or a structured airdrop wrapped in a phone is the open question. The Q3 number to watch is repeat dApp engagement at day 30.
